Personal coaching

What supermarkets are there in the Netherlands? What are their formula principles? What are they looking for? And what type of customer goes to which formula?  

These are questions you discuss internally to decide which supermarkets you want your product to be in.  

In this training, we take you through the Dutch retail landscape. We look at market shares, store locations, customer profiles, the structure at the headquarters, and the best way to get on the shelf of the formula in question. We also visit several stores to learn to think like a retailer. After all, you can do better business if you know and understand the other party.

What does it take to get on the shelf in a supermarket? What requirements must you meet? What price can you ask? How does the logistics work? What promotional investments are involved? We at De Vlasschuur regularly receive these and many other questions from our network. Even with the golden egg, it is important to prepare your company well for supplying the various supermarket chains.

In this training, we take you and your team through the ins and outs of Dutch supermarkets. Together, we look at your company and what it takes to get on the shelves of supermarkets. We examine both the product and the organization and explain to you the requirements you must meet at each supermarket chain to get your products on the shelf.

We provide you with practical tools and a checklist of things you need to have in order to make the step to supplying supermarkets. This will not only help you get on the shelf but also stay on the shelf and achieve good rotation figures.

Talent development

The supplier days of retailers are important moments where you, as a supplier, are included in the strategy of the formula for the coming years. They often clearly state what the objectives are and what role you can play as a supplier. A perfect opportunity to base a plan on this, which you can explain in the annual meeting. How great is it if your plan perfectly aligns with the retailer's objectives?

To help you with this translation, our retail experts visit the various supplier days annually and create an overview. With this information, we look together with you at the (desired) customers and how you can best make a plan for them. PLUS is, after all, busy with different things than Albert Heijn. And with regional players like Poiesz, there are again different objectives than with the national formulas.

We take you through the strategy and objectives of the different retailers and look at how you can best align your business with them.
